About the Role:
A leading international bank is seeking a Chartered Accountant with strong experience in Finance, Regulatory Reporting, Financial Reporting, Treasury Accounting, and Statutory Compliance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on exposure to RBI regulatory reporting, audits, budgeting, treasury accounting, and financial controls within the banking sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory & Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and submit RBI regulatory reports (including ALE, ROR, RCA and other regulatory returns) in compliance with applicable guidelines.
- Support RBI inspections by preparing data, resolving audit queries, and fulfilling ad-hoc regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of Ind AS-compliant financial statements.
- Prepare annual financial statements as per IGAAP, Ind AS, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors, Head Office, and regulatory authorities to ensure timely completion of audits and statutory submissions.
Treasury Accounting:
- Handle accounting for treasury products including Forward Contracts, Interest Rate Swaps (IRS), Cross Currency Swaps (CCS), and other derivative instruments.
- Ensure accurate accounting treatment in line with applicable accounting standards.
Budgeting, Forecasting & MIS:
- Support annual budgeting and rolling forecasts by coordinating with business functions.
- Perform variance analysis (Actual vs Budget and Actual vs Forecast) and provide meaningful financial insights.
- Prepare management reports, MIS dashboards, financial performance summaries, and profitability analysis.
- Support strategic planning through financial modelling, scenario analysis, and business performance evaluation.
Opex & Capex Management:
- Monitor operating and capital expenditure budgets and utilization.
- Support approvals for new Capex/Opex initiatives.
- Manage allocation of shared costs across business units.
Head Office & Regulatory Reporting:
- Prepare IFRS-based financial reports for Head Office.
- Coordinate with global finance teams and respond to queries from overseas regulators and Head Office.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance:
- Manage GST calculations, reconciliations, and compliance.
- Oversee TDS compliance, return filings, and coordination with tax consultants.
- Ensure adherence to RBI regulations, tax laws, and statutory requirements.
Month-End & Year-End Closing:
- Execute monthly and annual financial close activities including provisions, accruals, depreciation, fixed asset capitalization, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory.
- 6-10 years of post-qualification experience, including 4-5 years in the Banking sector.
- Candidates currently working with Banks will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of RBI regulations, Ind AS, IFRS, IGAAP, Basel norms, treasury accounting, taxation, statutory reporting, and financial controls.
- Hands-on experience with SAP, Oracle Flexcube (FCC), or similar ERP/Core Banking platforms.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and financial reporting tools.
- Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
