About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Employee Relations leader to drive a robust ER framework across the organization. This is a specialist leadership role (not a generalist HRBP position) focused on policy governance, complex case management, compliance, and risk mitigation.

You will work closely with leadership to ensure a fair, compliant, and high-trust workplace environment, while strengthening organizational capability in handling employee matters.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations Strategy & Governance

- Lead and strengthen the Employee Relations (ER) function across the organization

- Design and implement ER frameworks, policies, and governance mechanisms

- Ensure consistent, fair, and compliant policy implementation

Policy Development & Compliance

- Draft, review, and enhance HR policies including:

- Code of Conduct

- Grievance Handling

- Performance Improvement Plans (PIP)

- Disciplinary frameworks

- Health & Safety

- Ensure alignment with Indian labor laws and compliance standards

- Partner with legal teams to mitigate organizational risk

ER Case Management & Investigations

- Lead complex ER cases including grievances, misconduct, workplace conflicts, and disciplinary actions

- Conduct and oversee sensitive investigations (including POSH-related cases)

- Ensure timely, unbiased, and well-documented resolutions

Manager Enablement & Advisory

- Coach and guide managers on performance management, conflict resolution, and employee conduct

- Build toolkits and frameworks to improve manager capability

- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on ER matters

Stakeholder Collaboration

- Partner with HR Ops, Employee Experience, and business leaders

- Drive consistency and fairness in ER decisions across teams

- Influence leadership on people risk and governance matters

Risk Mitigation & Insights

- Identify and proactively address employee relations risks

- Monitor ER trends and implement preventive interventions

- Ensure practices that minimize legal exposure and litigation risk

Training & Culture Building

- Lead awareness programs on policies, ethics, and workplace conduct

- Promote a culture of accountability, respect, and compliance

Ideal Candidate Profile

- 10+ years of HR experience with deep specialization in Employee Relations

- Strong track record of handling end-to-end ER cases and investigations

- Expertise in HR policy design, governance, and compliance frameworks

- Strong understanding of Indian labor laws and regulatory requirements

- Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and leadership teams

- Experience in large, structured organizations (500+ employees)

- Excellent judgment, confidentiality, and decision-making skills

Mandatory Requirements

- Extensive experience in Employee Relations (non-generalist role)

- Hands-on expertise in grievances, misconduct, disciplinary actions, and investigations

- Strong exposure to policy design, compliance, and governance frameworks

- Experience working in complex, multi-location organizations

- Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential situations
