Senior Manager/Director - Industrial Automation Software Development

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager / Director to lead software development for Industrial Automation products. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in C++, Embedded Systems and product development, along with proven experience in leading engineering teams and delivering complex software products.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the software development and engineering function for industrial automation products.

- Manage and mentor C++ and Embedded Software development teams.

- Own the complete software development lifecycle from requirements and architecture to development, integration and release.

- Provide technical leadership in C++ programming, embedded systems and real-time software.

- Drive product architecture, design reviews, coding standards and engineering best practices.

- Collaborate with Product Management, Hardware, QA and Systems teams for successful product delivery.

- Define technical roadmaps and drive modernization of existing products.

- Manage project planning, resource allocation, delivery timelines and technical risks.

- Ensure high-quality, scalable and reliable software solutions for industrial applications.

- Drive continuous improvement in development processes, tools and engineering practices.

Mandatory Skills:

- Strong experience in C++ development.

- Strong background in Embedded Systems / Embedded Software.

- Experience in Industrial Automation / Control Systems.

- Strong understanding of software architecture and product development.

- Proven experience in team management and technical leadership.

- Experience managing large-scale software development projects.

Good to Have:

- Experience with PLC, SCADA, HMI or Industrial Control Systems.

- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC UA, CAN or Ethernet/IP.

- Experience with Linux/RTOS, Git, CI/CD and Agile methodologies.

- Exposure to cloud, IoT or connected industrial products.

Education:

- BE/B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation or a related engineering discipline.
