About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Manager/Director to lead our Statutory Audit team in Mumbai. This position will manage audit activities, ensure compliance with both internal and external regulations, and assess the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes. You will oversee audits for mid-to-large clients across diverse sectors, while fostering a culture of professional development and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Leadership and Team Management - You will be responsible for leading a diverse audit team, ensuring high performance and collaboration. You will oversee the execution of audit assignments, ensuring quality and timely delivery. You will mentor Audit Managers and staff, supporting their career development. Additionally, you will foster a culture of continuous improvement and ensure compliance with audit standards.

- Audit Engagement Management - You will be responsible for managing the entire audit process, from planning to completion, ensuring client satisfaction and compliance. You will lead audits for mid-to-large clients, oversee budgeting and resource allocation, and maintain strong client relationships.

- Client Management and Relationship Building - You will be the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored audit services. You will build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, identify new business opportunities, and ensure audits meet client expectations with high-quality service.

- Strategic Guidance and Mentorship - You will provide strategic guidance to the audit team, helping them address complex client issues and find innovative solutions. You will ensure the team is equipped to handle a variety of audits, continually improving practices and driving their professional development.

- Quality Control and Compliance - You will ensure all audits comply with relevant standards, regulations, and firm policies. You will have to stay updated on audit and accounting standards, ensuring best practices are followed in all audits.

- Strong technical knowledge of audit processes, accounting standards, and regulations.

- Proven ability to manage large and complex audit engagements for diverse clients.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.

- Ability to provide strategic guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

- Strong project management skills, including budgeting and resource allocation.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Educational Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA).

- Minimum 5 years of experience in Statutory audit or Internal Audit, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

- Experience leading audits for mid-to-large clients across multiple sectors.

Location & Work shifts:

Office Location: Mumbai, Andheri

Working hours: 9 am - 6 pm (May extend depending on the work)

Working days: Monday-Friday, 1st & 3rd Saturday is working
