Job Title: Senior Manager - Direct Tax (Search & Seizure ) Location: Delhi (Work from Office) Industry: Consulting / Tax Advisory / CA Firm Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced tax professional with deep expertise in Search & Seizure cases, Direct Tax litigation, and Domestic Tax Laws. The role involves leading complex tax matters, handling high-stakes search & seizure operations, and representing clients before tax authorities. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in managing tax assessments, appeals, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities: 1. Search & Seizure (Primary Focus) - Lead and manage cases related to Income Tax Search & Seizure (Raids) under Section 132 & 133A. - Provide strategic advisory on post-search legal matters, undisclosed income, and settlement options. - Handle documentation, asset tracing, and response strategy for clients under scrutiny. - Assist in managing provisional attachment of assets and compliance with tax investigation proceedings. - Represent clients before Investigation Wing, Settlement Commission, and Appellate Authorities. 2. Direct Tax Litigation & Compliance - Handle assessment, reassessment, and appeal proceedings before tax tribunals. - Represent clients in dispute resolution proceedings under DRP, ITAT, High Court, and Supreme Court. - Develop defense strategies and draft submissions for complex tax litigations. - Conduct tax audits, advisory, and compliance reviews for corporations and HNIs. 3. Regulatory & Stakeholder Management - Liaise with income tax authorities, legal teams, and forensic experts in search & seizure cases. - Keep up with evolving tax regulations, amendments, and judicial rulings impacting direct taxation. - Advise senior management on tax risk mitigation and structuring transactions for tax efficiency. Key Skills & Requirements: - Qualification: CA/LLB with 3+ years of experience in Direct Tax, with a strong focus on Search & Seizure cases. - Expertise in Sections 132, 133A, 153A, and 153C of the Income Tax Act. - Extensive experience in handling raid cases, forensic tax investigations, and undisclosed income assessments. - Strong knowledge of domestic tax laws, tax litigation, and tribunal representation. - Ability to work under high-pressure situations and provide strategic legal solutions. - Prior experience in Big 4, tax consulting firms, or litigation practice is preferred.
