Job Description (JD):
Position: Manager - Supply Chain & Demand Planning
Department: Supply Chain
Location: Mumbai
Reporting to: Head - Supply Chain / BU SCM Lead
Role Purpose:
The Manager - Supply Chain & Demand Planning is responsible for consolidated production planning, demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and procurement coordination across the India Business Unit. The role ensures process efficiency, data accuracy, and cross-functional alignment to enhance service levels, optimize working capital, and improve planning reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. S&OP & Demand Planning
- Lead and drive the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
- Translate S&OP decisions into execution through cross-functional coordination.
- Monitor forecast accuracy and collaborate with Sales & Customer Service for improvement.
2. Production & Capacity Planning
- Map production capacity (RCCP) and resource requirement planning (RRP).
- Support capacity expansion and CAPEX decisions with data-driven inputs.
- Coordinate with Operations & Business Excellence teams on capacity-building initiatives.
3. Inventory & Working Capital Optimization
- Define minimum stock, safety stock, and reorder levels across units.
- Ensure inventory optimization to meet working capital targets.
- Elicit zero stock-outs and minimize premium freight.
- Monitor slow-moving inventory and eliminate non-moving stock.
4. Customer Service & Delivery Excellence
- Improve DIFOTIS (Delivery In Full On Time In Spec).
- Lead SCM initiatives to enhance customer delivery performance.
- Drive customer engagement programs related to supply reliability.
5. Sales & Revenue Alignment
- Monitor monthly sales budget vs actual performance.
- Support revenue improvement through planning alignment.
6. Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Draft and update SOPs across warehouse, logistics, planning, and inventory workflows.
- Identify and implement SCM process improvement projects.
7. ERP & Digital Enablement
- Ensure effective utilization of QAD and related applications (AC-WMS, More Planner, Alchemist).
- Maintain master data integrity and conduct periodic reviews.
- Drive simplification and design improvements in planning systems.

Key Job Requirements:
Education: MBA in Supply Chain / Operations (premier institutes)
Experience: 3 - 5 years in demand planning, supply chain planning, or production planning.
Technical Skills:
- S&OP planning & forecasting
- Inventory optimization & working capital control
- Capacity planning & RCCP
- ERP planning systems (QAD preferred)
- Warehouse & logistics workflow optimization
Preferred Knowledge:
- Lean manufacturing principles
- Kanban flow implementation
- Automation & digital supply chain tools
