Senior Manager Debt Fundraising and Project Finance

About the Role:
We are looking for a finance professional to lead debt fundraising and project finance activities for a portfolio of education infrastructure assets operating across multiple legal entities.
This is a high-impact individual contributor role that offers end-to-end ownership of debt transactionsfrom lender sourcing and financial modelling to documentation, disbursement, and post-closure compliance. The role works closely with senior leadership and provides significant exposure to lender negotiations and structured financing.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Debt Fundraising and Lender Management:
- Lead debt raising for term loans, project finance, construction finance, LRD, and working capital facilities.
- Build and manage relationships with banks, NBFCs, and financial institutions.
- Prepare lender presentations, information memorandums, and due diligence responses.
- Negotiate commercial terms including pricing, tenure, security structure, covenants, and other financing documentation.
- Manage loan drawdowns and coordinate disbursements.
2. Financial Modelling and Credit Support:
- Develop and maintain project finance and three-statement financial models.
- Perform debt sizing, DSCR analysis, sensitivity analysis, and scenario modelling.
- Prepare CMA data and financial projections for lenders.
3. Transaction Execution:
- Coordinate valuations, title due diligence, TEV studies, legal opinions, and other lender requirements.
- Manage security creation, charge registration, mortgage documentation, and regulatory filings.
4. Covenant Monitoring and Compliance:
- Monitor financial and non-financial covenants across all borrowing facilities.
- Prepare lender compliance reports and certificates.
- Coordinate with credit rating agencies for annual reviews and surveillance.
Candidate Profile:
Must Have:
- CA or MBA (Finance) from a Tier-1 institute.
- 57 years of experience in debt fundraising, project finance, corporate banking, or structured finance.
- Hands-on experience in negotiating debt facilities rather than purely relationship management.
- Experience closing term loan and working capital transactions in the 25100 crore range.
- Strong financial modelling and advanced Excel skills.
- Good understanding of lender documentation, security creation, and financing processes.
Preferred:
- Experience in real estate, infrastructure, hospitality, healthcare, or education infrastructure.
- Exposure to construction finance and Lease Rental Discounting (LRD).
- Experience working with multi-entity business structures.
- Prior experience with banks, NBFCs, or corporate treasury/project finance teams.
