We are seeking a seasoned Crop Development professional with deep expertise across the spices value chain, including farmer engagement, sustainable agronomy practices, procurement support, and quality assurance. The role involves close collaboration with farmers, field teams, and supply chain stakeholders to ensure consistent quality, traceability, and yield improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead crop development initiatives for spices across assigned regions

- Conduct regular field assessments to monitor crop health, yield, pest, and disease conditions

- Develop and implement crop management and improvement plans in collaboration with farmers

- Drive adoption of sustainable farming practices, IPM, and environmental stewardship

- Support procurement activities by identifying and developing farmer networks and sourcing partners

- Conduct physical stock inspections, quality checks, and sampling as per SOPs

- Ensure adherence to traceability, documentation, and regulatory requirements

- Work closely with quality teams for testing, grading, and compliance

- Conduct farmer training, field demonstrations, and knowledge-sharing programs

- Stay updated on agri technologies and support precision farming adoption

Desired Profile:

- M.Sc. in Agriculture (mandatory)

- 10+ years of experience in crop development, spices, agri-commodities, FMCG, or food processing

- Strong understanding of spices cultivation, procurement, and quality standards

- Hands-on experience in farmer engagement and field operations

- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, SOPs, and traceability systems

- Willingness to travel extensively within the region
