Description:

- We are seeking an experienced professional to lead business operations, production management, and commercial performance of our Compressed Biogas (CBG) business.

- The role involves overseeing plant operations, feedstock logistics, gas production optimization, and offtake coordination while driving cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operations Management:

- Oversee day-to-day operations of CBG plants, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations.

- Monitor production output, gas quality, feedstock availability, and process parameters.

- Implement operational KPIs for yield efficiency, downtime reduction, and cost optimization.

- Coordinate with plant heads, O&M partners, and feedstock suppliers for uninterrupted production.

2. Feedstock & Supply Chain:

- Develop and monitor feedstock procurement plans agri waste, press mud, MSW, or organic waste.

- Optimize feedstock logistics, storage, and inventory management.

- Establish partnerships with suppliers, farmers, aggregators, or municipalities for long-term sustainability.

3. Commercial & Business Development:

- Support business expansion and offtake partnerships (CGD, OMCs, industrial customers).

- Track sales volumes, pricing, and margin realization for CBG and by-products like bio-manure.

- Prepare business performance reports, MIS, and profitability dashboards for management.

- Evaluate new CBG projects, investment opportunities, and JV partnerships.

4. Project Execution & Scale-Up:

- Coordinate with EPC teams during commissioning and plant stabilization phases.

- Ensure adherence to project timelines, budget, and quality standards.

- Support new site development and techno-commercial feasibility assessments.

5. Compliance, Safety & ESG:

- Ensure full compliance with PCRA / MNRE / PESO / PNGRB norms and other statutory guidelines.

- Maintain HSE protocols, risk assessments, and training programs for operations teams.

- Drive sustainability metrics and reporting aligned with company ESG goals.

Candidate Profile:

Criteria:

Experience: 10 18 years in Operations / Business Management within CBG / Bioenergy / Waste-to-Energy / Industrial Utilities / Process Plants

Education: B.E / B.Tech (Mechanical / Chemical / Environmental / Industrial). MBA (Operations / Energy Management) preferred

Core Skills: Plant operations, project coordination, cost control, business analytics,

vendor & stakeholder management

Industry Fit: CBG, Biogas, Bio-CNG, Waste-to-Energy, Renewable Energy, or Process Industry

Attributes: Result-oriented, strong leadership and coordination skills, analytical mindset, high operational ownership

Key Competencies:

- Strong understanding of CBG process (anaerobic digestion, purification, compression).

- Experience in feedstock planning, logistics, and gas quality monitoring.

- Financial acumen for P&L and cost optimization.

- Excellent communication and cross-functional team management.

- Exposure to government tenders, OMC offtake agreements, and MNRE programs preferred.
