Key Responsibilities
Investment Strategy & Research
- Develop and maintain a robust framework for evaluating passive investment instruments (ETFs, Funds, government securities, index funds, debt instruments, etc.).
- Research macroeconomic trends, regulatory landscape, and market indicators to provide actionable insights aligned with long-term product and investment strategies.
- Prepare quarterly whitepapers and insights for internal use on emerging themes (e.g., passive investing trends, long-duration bonds, inflation-linked instruments).
- Monitor peer insurance fund structures and provide comparative insights.
- Design model portfolios that align with product objectives, liability profiles, and regulatory constraints.
- Benchmark asset performance and provide monthly/quarterly insights and review dashboards.
- Build ground-up investment tools for both lead and lag monitoring
- Conduct internal training sessions for sales/product teams to explain the investment philosophy behind offerings.
- Help create investment marketing narratives and product brochures.
- Help define SOPs, investment policies and ensure investment-related documentation is best-in-class.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications:
- CA / MBA (Finance) / CFA Charterholder (or Level 3 cleared)
Experience:
- 7 to 12 years in investment research, insurance investing, mutual fund analysis, or financial markets.
- Exposure to passive strategies and fixed income instruments is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in an insurance company, pension fund, or AMC is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and presentation skills
- Understanding of insurance products and liability-driven investing
- High ownership and ability to operate in a startup-style flat structure
- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities
