Role Overview:

As the Senior Manager - Channel Sales (Steel), you will be responsible for developing and executing the channel sales strategy for our steel products, specifically roofing sheets, across Nigeria. You will manage and expand our existing network of distributors and dealers, driving revenue growth and market share.


This role requires a strong understanding of the Nigerian steel market, excellent relationship-building skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets through channel partners. You will collaborate closely with the marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of sales plans and provide valuable market insights to inform business decisions. Your efforts will directly impact the company's profitability and brand presence in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive channel sales strategy for steel products, focusing on roofing sheets, to achieve sales targets and expand market share across Nigeria.

- Identify, recruit, and onboard new distributors and dealers to expand the channel network and increase market coverage.

- Manage and nurture relationships with existing channel partners, providing training, support, and incentives to maximize their sales performance.

- Conduct regular market analysis and competitor benchmarking to identify opportunities and threats, and adjust sales strategies accordingly.

- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute channel-specific marketing programs and promotions to drive demand and brand awareness.

- Monitor sales performance, track key metrics, and provide regular reports to senior management on channel sales activities and results.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant industry regulations.

- Manage channel partner credit and collections, working closely with the finance team to minimize risk and maximize cash flow.

- Resolve channel partner issues and complaints in a timely and effective manner to maintain strong relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.

- Conduct regular field visits to channel partners to assess their performance, provide on-the-ground support, and gather market intelligence.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful channel sales strategies in the steel industry, specifically for roofing sheets.

- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and dealers.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, capable of influencing key stakeholders.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.

- Deep understanding of the Nigerian steel market, including competitive landscape, customer needs, and regulatory environment.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

- Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

- Adaptable to working on-site in Nigeria, with willingness to travel extensively within the country.
