Role Overview:

The Senior Manager - Business Support Services (BSS) will be responsible for leading and scaling the Business Support Services vertical, delivering end-to-end outsourced finance and compliance solutions to clients.

This is a senior, client-facing role requiring strong technical expertise, people leadership, and the ability to manage complex engagements while maintaining service excellence.

The role offers significant ownership, exposure to senior stakeholders, and the opportunity to play a strategic role in the growth of the practice.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Support Services Leadership:

Lead and manage the Business Support Services portfolio, including:


- Outsourced accounting and bookkeeping


- MIS preparation and financial reporting


- Payroll processing and compliance


- Statutory, regulatory, and tax compliance


- Audit coordination and support

Ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality delivery of all BSS engagements.

Client Relationship Management:

- Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, including Indian and multinational organizations.

- Build, nurture, and expand long-term client relationships through proactive engagement and service excellence.

- Understand client business models and tailor solutions to meet evolving requirements.

- Handle client reviews, escalations, and expectations professionally.

Compliance & Regulatory Oversight:

Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including:


- GST


- TDS


- Companies Act


- Other direct and indirect tax and statutory requirements

Monitor regulatory changes and ensure timely implementation across client engagements.

Team Leadership & Development:

- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of managers, executives, and associates.

- Allocate work effectively, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to quality standards.

- Provide coaching, technical guidance, and performance feedback.

- Foster a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement.

Process Improvement & Practice Growth:

- Drive process standardization, automation, and efficiency improvements within the BSS function.

- Identify opportunities to scale the practice and improve service offerings.

- Support business development initiatives, proposals, and client onboarding when required.

- Collaborate with senior leadership to strengthen the firms BSS capabilities.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (mandatory).

5+ years of post-qualification experience, preferably in:


- CA firms


- Consulting firms


- Professional services organizations

- Strong exposure to outsourced accounting, MIS, compliance, and audit support services.

- Experience managing multiple clients and complex engagements simultaneously.

- Proven people management and leadership capabilities.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong technical knowledge of accounting, taxation, and compliance.

- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.

- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.

- High level of ownership, professionalism, and attention to detail.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-client environment.

- Entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in building and scaling service lines.
