Job Title: Senior Manager BRE Process & System

Job Overview

This role is responsible for leading key policy implementation initiatives and ensuring effective governance across Business Rules Engines (BREs). The position requires strong expertise in platform migrations, system upgrades, requirement prioritization, and end-to-end testing cycles. The individual will play a pivotal role in aligning re-platforming activities with business objectives, maintaining governance standards, and ensuring compliance with internal control frameworks and audit requirements.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Requirement Management: Collaborate with stakeholders across Product, Policy, Credit, and Technology teams to gather, validate, and prioritize business requirements. Ensure requirements are complete, accurate, and aligned with business goals.

Technology Coordination: Work closely with technology teams managing FICO platforms to ensure smooth delivery of changes and enhancements.

Testing & Deployment: Lead end-to-end testing activities, secure necessary sign-offs, and drive go-live readiness. Provide oversight to the BRE testing team to ensure test completeness, quality coverage, and timely deployment of change requests.

Change Governance: Manage Change Control Board (CCB) clearance processes, ensuring all changes comply with the BRE Change Implementation Framework and governance protocols.

Platform Re-Engineering: Contribute to re-platforming initiatives by migrating products from legacy BREs (such as Blaze and Hotfoot) to cloud-based FICO platforms. Oversee redevelopment of policy rules, eligibility criteria, scorecards, insurance modules, and Loan Origination Checklists (LoC).

Defect Management: Lead resolution of defects during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and post-production phases. Engage with stakeholders for timely fixes, ensuring system stability and business continuity.

Stakeholder Communication: Maintain consistent and transparent communication across stakeholder groups to align expectations, progress, and delivery timelines. Act as a liaison to bridge development-related gaps between policy, business, and technology teams.

Policy Oversight: Review policy requirements for accuracy and completeness. Guide the policy team in drafting structured and clear requirement documents that facilitate effective implementation.

Risk & Compliance: Support audit requirements by managing data requests, providing clarifications, and addressing queries. Oversee internal control tasks including Key Risk Indicators (KRI) and Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA). Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and closure of all governance and compliance activities.

Strategic Alignment: Ensure re-platforming and policy initiatives are aligned with the organizations strategic objectives, contributing to business growth and operational efficiency.

Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of Business Rules Engines, with specific exposure to FICO platforms.

- Experience in system re-platforming, migration from legacy platforms, and integration projects.

- Proficiency in end-to-end testing processes and defect management.

- Deep understanding of governance frameworks, internal controls, and audit processes.

- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive consensus across business and technology teams.

- Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management capabilities.

Experience & Qualifications

- More than 7 years of relevant experience in risk, policy implementation, BRE systems, or related fields.

- Post-graduation degree (mandatory).

- Prior experience in financial services, credit, or housing finance domain preferred.

- Proven track record of handling large-scale migrations, governance activities, and policy rule management.
