Role:

We are looking for a Business Operations & Strategy Leader who thrives in ambiguity and enjoys solving problems that do not come with a predefined job description.

This is a high-ownership generalist role working closely with the founders across business strategy, financial planning, investor management, GTM, commercial operations and organizational planning. The ideal person is someone who is equally comfortable building an Excel model, creating a PowerPoint for an investor, negotiating with a vendor and challenging the founder's assumptions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Planning & Financial Strategy:

- Build and maintain company-wide financial plans, budgets and operating models.

- Develop scenario-based models covering revenue, headcount, R&D investments, operating expenses and cash runway.

- Work with founders to translate business strategy into measurable financial and operating plans.

- Support fundraising planning, financial analysis and investor discussions.

- Work closely with finance/accounting partners to improve financial reporting and management visibility.

2. Strategy & Business Analysis:

- Work directly with founders on strategic and business-critical problems; bring an independent, data-driven perspective to decision-making.

- Conduct structured analysis of markets, competitors, customers, pricing and business models.

- Evaluate new opportunities and build business cases for potential products, markets, partnerships and investments.

- Convert ambiguous problems into structured frameworks, analyses and actionable recommendations.

3. GTM & Commercial Operations:

- Support development and execution of Sophrosyne's GTM strategy as the company transitions toward commercialization.

- Analyze customer segments, pricing, market opportunity and competitive positioning.

- Support customer engagement, commercial proposals and strategic account planning.

- Identify bottlenecks in the sales and commercialization process and drive initiatives to resolve them.

4. Investor Relations:

- Support preparation of investor updates, board materials and fundraising presentations.

- Develop and maintain key investor metrics, business dashboards and financial analyses.

- Help articulate company progress, milestones, risks and future plans in a clear and structured manner.

- Maintain an organized repository of business, financial and commercial information required for investors.

Ideal Experience Profile:

- 6 - 10 years of professional experience, with experience across both large enterprises and startups / high-growth organizations preferred.

- Experience in roles involving business strategy, corporate strategy, business operations, consulting, finance, program management or founder's office is highly relevant.

- Experience working in a startup environment is strongly preferred.

- Experience in a large enterprise is valuable for understanding structured business processes, financial discipline, governance and organizational best practices.

- Prior exposure to B2B technology, deep-tech, semiconductor, healthcare, medical devices would be an advantage, but is not mandatory.

- Demonstrated experience working directly with senior leadership / founders on cross-functional initiatives.

Educational background:

- Bachelor's degree from a leading engineering institutes.

- MBA from a good Indian business school would be preferred.
