As the Senior Business Development Manager - Geospatial Services will spearhead the company's growth in spatial technologies, driving new client wins, strategic partnerships, and revenue expansion. You'll define go-to-market strategies, build a robust sales pipeline, and position our geospatial offerings as market leaders. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring deep domain expertise, strong commercial acumen, and excellent stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end business development for all Geospatial/GIS service lines, including remote sensing, LiDAR, drone mapping, and spatial analytics.
- Develop and execute a strategic growth plan: market segmentation, target account mapping, and competitive positioning.
- Identify, qualify, and close high-value geospatial projects across sectors such as transportation, utilities, urban planning, and environmental monitoring.
- Oversee RFP/RFI analysis, tender strategy, proposal development, and bid submissions-ensuring technical compliance and commercial viability.
- Negotiate commercial terms, partnership agreements, and Joint Ventures to expand service offerings and market reach.
- Cultivate and maintain C-level and senior-stakeholder relationships with government agencies, engineering consultancies, and enterprise clients.
- Collaborate with delivery, technical, and design teams to align solutions with client requirements and ensure seamless handover from sales to operations.
- Track and report on pipeline metrics, conversion rates, revenue forecasts, and market trends-using CRM tools to inform leadership decisions.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Geography or related field; MBA or Master's in Geospatial Sciences preferred.
- 8 - 15 years of proven success in business development for Geospatial/GIS services.
- Demonstrated track record of winning large-scale tenders and driving six- to seven-figure service contracts.
- Deep understanding of spatial data technologies, software platforms (Esri, QGIS, ENVI), and applications in infrastructure, utilities, and urban planning.
