Role Overview
We are looking for a senior brand communication leader to own the brand's communication strategy across all consumer-facing platforms - social, influencer, organic content, campaigns, website, e-commerce, and CRM.
This role is about building and carrying the brand story forward consistently and culturally, not just creating campaigns. The person should think like a chief storyteller - deeply rooted in consumer behaviour, culture, and platforms - and be hands-on with writing and shaping communication when needed.
Core Responsibility
Own the brand's communication narrative and ensure it lives meaningfully across every platform where the consumer meets the brand.
Key Responsibilities
1. Brand Communication Strategy (Master Narrative)
- Own the overall brand communication and storytelling strategy
- Define the core narrative, belief system, and messaging pillars
- Ensure the brand story evolves organically with culture, consumer context, and business priorities
- Move beyond campaigns to always-on storytelling
2. Organic, Social & Influencer Communication
- Own organic social communication strategy across platforms (Instagram, YouTube, etc.)
- Shape content themes, narratives, and long-term story arcs
- Lead influencer communication strategy:
- How creators talk about the brand
- What stories they tell
- How authenticity and credibility are maintained
- Ensure social and influencer content feels native, not advertising-led
3. Platform Translation (End-to-End)
Translate the core brand story across:
- Social & influencer
- Campaigns
- Website & Content pages
- E-commerce brand pages
- Quick commerce
- CRM touchpoints
4. Writing & Craft Leadership
Be strongly hands-on with writing and editing when required:
- Brand narratives
- Manifestos, campaign thought-starters
- Key social or influencer directions
- Elevate the quality of writing across teams and agencies
- Set high standards for storytelling, tone, and cultural relevance
5. Brand Voice Custodianship
- Act as the final authority on brand voice and tone
- Build and evolve brand communication frameworks as the brand scales - Ensure consistency across teams, platforms, and partners - without making the brand rigid
6. Agency & Team Leadership
Lead and partner with:
- Creative agencies
- Content and influencer agencies
- Internal brand, content, and social teams
- Write strong briefs rooted in consumer insight and culture
- Mentor and guide brand team members
Ideal Background
- Senior brand strategy or content strategy roles in top creative / brand agencies (planning or strategy)
- Experience leading communication for D2C, large consumer or culturally relevant brands
- Strong grounding in consumer behaviour, culture, and storytelling
- Proven ability to move from insight - narrative - platform execution
Key Skills
1. Deep expertise in brand communication strategy
2. Strong understanding of social, influencer, and organic content ecosystems
3. Excellent writing and editing skills (must be hands-on when needed) \
4. Ability to balance long-term brand building with business realities
