About the role This G&S - M&CI (Market & Competitive intelligence) role is part of Research's Growth & Strategy (G&S) research team with focus on EMEA Region. Developing market research points of view based on market trends, ecosystems and competitors developments, client priorities, among others. Responsibilities will include conducting small research projects and actively contributing to more complex projects led by others. We are looking for a candidate with a passion for strategy and research as well as knowledge in crafting points of view on long-term strategy/business plans based on market and industry insights, competitors positioning and developments, client demand and financial performance. Key Responsibilities include: - Supports the development of market analysis and in-depth trends review, guided by the Research lead - Draws on both traditional and innovative data sources and research methodologies to explore the key questions in a logical, structured manner - Analyze, visualize, and interpret data from multiple sources for stakeholders use - Build impactful presentations - Provides data analyses and analytical rigor to assess market opportunities, provide insights and build impactful presentations - Research and examine sources of information to identify relevant trends and analyze their business impact - Perform cross sector or company financial analysis - Perform benchmark analyses or project future trends and their likely impact on the business "Hard" skills: - Ability to use research techniques such as secondary database searching, company analysis, market analysis, strategic analysis frameworks, interview-based research and financial analysis - Foundation of core research strategy skills & problem solving. - Ability to take an issue and turn it into a researchable question. - Strong grasp of data, with ability to analyze, visualize, and interpret - An appetite to use data creatively to drive business outcomes - Interest in data driven storytelling - Able to learn and embrace new sources, tools, and skills, including alternative modes of research delivery/data visualization tools also a plus (e.g., Power BI, Qlik etc.). - Experience or demonstrated interest in the European market "Soft" skills: - Strong interest in Strategy, Technology and Research - Attention to detail and critical thinking - Willingness to learn and grow - Problem solver approach to work - Enthusiasm to work effectively - independently, collaboratively, and virtually - in a global, multi-cultural, multi-time zone team, while managing time and own workload - Credible in presenting work and results - Strong communications skills and good interpersonal skills in one-to-one and team settings - Strong professional qualities: client focus, decisiveness, integrity, resilience to stress against stretch goals and deadlines
