Role Overview:

The organization is seeking an experienced professional for the role of Senior Manager / Assistant Vice President - Market Operations.

The incumbent will be responsible for managing live trading operations, supporting new product launches, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving operational excellence across commodity market functions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage live trading operations to ensure smooth, accurate, and uninterrupted execution.

- Coordinate and support the launch of new contracts and commodities, including operational readiness.

- Implement system enhancements, conduct testing, and validate trading platforms before go-live.

- Ensure regulatory compliance and act as a liaison with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders.

- Represent the department in internal and external meetings; prepare agendas, presentations, and minutes of meetings.

- Oversee price polling mechanisms, spot price dissemination, and brand empanelment processes.

- Maintain, monitor, and administer commodity indices as per defined methodologies.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Technology, Compliance, Surveillance, and Product teams.

- Use analytical insights to improve operational efficiency and market transparency.

Skills & Experience:

- 10+ years of experience in market operations, commodity exchanges, or financial services.

- Strong understanding of commodity markets, exchange operations, and regulatory frameworks.

- Proven experience in regulatory compliance, reporting, and coordination with authorities.

- Working knowledge of Python, Power BI, and Tableau is an advantage.

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.

- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
