SENIOR MANAGER/ ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER PROJECTS

Location:

Mumbai (Head Office Chembur) with frequent travel to project sites across India

Experience: Min. 12-15 Years

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. (Mechanical/Civil) or equivalent.

Employment Type: Full-Time

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Senior Manager Projects will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple infrastructure, construction, heavy lifting, renewable energy, and industrial projects. The role ensures projects are executed safely, within budget, on schedule, and in compliance with statutory and quality standards, while optimizing manpower, equipment, and operational resources.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Project Planning & Delivery:

- Lead end-to-end execution of multiple infrastructure/construction projects from mobilization to handover.

- Develop project execution plans, schedules, and resource deployment strategies.

- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to achieve milestones.

- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with quality standards.

2. Resource & Operations Management:

- Plan and optimize deployment of cranes, heavy equipment, manpower, and other project resources.

- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, Maintenance, and Operations teams.

- Maximize equipment utilization while ensuring operational efficiency.

3. Client & Commercial Management:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during project execution.

- Conduct project review meetings and provide regular progress updates.

- Monitor project budgets, profitability, billing, and commercial documentation.

- Support contract administration, variation claims, and commercial negotiations.

4. Safety & Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with QHSSE standards, statutory regulations, and contractual requirements.

- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments.

- Promote a strong safety culture to achieve Zero LTI.

5. Leadership & Reporting:

- Lead and mentor Project Managers, Site Engineers, Supervisors, and site teams.

- Drive accountability, collaboration, and performance across project teams.

- Prepare project MIS reports, dashboards, and management presentations.

- Identify process improvements and implement best practices to enhance project efficiency.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.

- 12-15 years of relevant experience in Infrastructure, Construction, Heavy Lifting, Crane Services, EPC, Renewable Energy, Industrial Projects, or other project-based industries.

- Proven experience in managing large-scale projects from planning through execution and successful completion.

- Strong exposure to crane operations, heavy equipment deployment, lifting plans, and site execution.

- Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional project teams and managing client and stakeholder relationships.
