Reports to: Vice President, Project Finance

Purpose:

The role holder will be a member of the Project Finance team of India's largest steel company. The scope includes fund raising across capital markets, bank borrowings, and export credit agencies in domestic and foreign currency, monitoring investment performance, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Result Areas:

- Fund raising: Support capital expenditure for capacity expansion from 35.7 mtpa to 56 mtpa by FY2031, utilizing ECAs, ECBs, Rupee loans, bonds, and NCDs.

- Business plan: Participate in annual business planning, forecasting, and identifying potential finance sources.

- Regulatory compliance: Ensure compliance with debt portfolio obligations.

- Handling surplus funds: Manage cash balances of USD 1.50 to 2 billion in various instruments.

- Systems: Develop and update systems to reduce operational risks.

- Relationship management: Interface with banks, ECAs, and rating agencies.

Critical Tasks:

- Explain business model and financial performance to lenders to facilitate credit facility sanctions.

- Prepare financial models and projections, and draft credit notes.

- Analyze fund raising requirements and explore competitive cost opportunities.

- Review and negotiate term sheets and facility documents with legal counsels and lenders.

- Monitor contractual and regulatory compliance.

- Handle preparation of offer documents and sales presentations for bonds and syndications.

Educational Background and Work Experience:

- CA/CFA/MBA from a premier institute with 5 - 10 years of experience in large corporates, banks, or financial institutions.

Competencies:

- Technical skills: Financial analysis, regulatory knowledge (SEBI, RBI, NCDs, ECBs, ODI, foreign exchange), and SAP proficiency.

- Soft skills: Interpersonal skills, self-starter, result-oriented, and ability to handle pressure.
