Senior Manager - Architect - AI/ML/Gen AI - Fintech/Payment/Banking

We are seeking a seasoned technology leader with 14+ years of experience in software engineering and at least 5 years in technical leadership roles. This role is pivotal in architecting and scaling an AI-native banking and payments platform that disburses billions of dollars annually across India.

The ideal candidate will combine deep expertise in distributed systems with a visionary approach to AI-driven innovation in the fintech domain.

Key Responsibilities:

- Architect & Scale: Design and scale a nationwide AI-native banking/payment platform capable of handling billions in transactions annually.

- Modernization Leadership: Drive modernization initiatives through multi-tenant architecture and simplified onboarding processes.

- AI/GenAI Innovation: Lead the integration of GenAI-driven tools to automate and optimize the loan management pipeline-from AI-powered customer bots to AI-driven reconciliation of large-scale financial data.

- Technical Vision: Own and articulate the technical vision for highly scaled backend services, full-stack applications, and agentic tools.

- Cross-Functional Influence: Partner with multiple CXO-level stakeholders to deliver strategic, cross-organizational initiatives.

- Scalability & Reliability: Ensure platform scalability and resilience during peak events while managing technical debt strategically.

- Architectural Ownership: Make critical architectural decisions for distributed systems and full-stack applications.

- Engineering Leadership: Act as the most senior engineer for a team of 100+ Software Development Engineers (SDEs), shaping careers, raising engineering standards, and fostering a culture of excellence.

Required Skills & Experience:

Core Expertise:

- Distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architecture, and data streaming

- AWS cloud services and infrastructure

- Security, compliance, and regulatory frameworks in fintech

- Data modeling, NoSQL/NewSQL databases

- ML/AI integration into production systems

- Full-Stack Development: Proven ability to deliver seamless customer experiences through modern web and mobile applications.

- Domain Knowledge: Exposure to Banking, Payments, and Fintech domains is highly desirable.

- Leadership: Demonstrated success in leading large engineering teams and cross-functional projects.
