Senior Manager - AI Engineering (MLOps / AIOps - Azure)

About the Opportunity:
We are hiring for a large global advisory firm (Big 10) undergoing rapid expansion in its AI and digital transformation practice. This role sits within a global AI function supporting enterprise-wide initiatives across multiple business units.
This is a high visibility leadership role focused on building and scaling AI platforms, ensuring production-grade deployments, and driving operational excellence across AI systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead deployment and lifecycle management of AI and ML models on Azure platforms
- Design and implement MLOps pipelines for CI/CD, automation, and monitoring
- Ensure model performance, observability, and reliability through telemetry and alerts
- Drive model versioning, release management, and rollback strategies
- Optimize inference performance and cost efficiency
- Establish governance, audit, and security controls for AI systems
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders
Required Skills and Experience
- 8+ years in AI Engineering, MLOps, or ML Platform roles
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure ML, Data Lake, Synapse, and Cosmos DB
- Experience in CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
- Strong understanding of ML lifecycle, deployment, monitoring, and scaling
- Proficiency in Python and data workflows
Good to Have
- Experience in GenAI, LLM, RAG, or prompt engineering
- Knowledge of model evaluation, A/B testing, and performance tuning
- Exposure to model observability, incident management, and telemetry frameworks
