Role: International Business Development - Chemical & Pharma Process Equipment

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional for the position of Senior Manager / AGM - International Business Development. The incumbent will be responsible for driving international sales and business expansion of process equipment for the Chemical and API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) industries. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of international sales, a solid understanding of chemical process equipment, and excellent networking abilities across global markets.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sales & Business Development:

- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve international sales targets and expand the customer base in North America, Latin America, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, South-East Asia (SEA), Israel, Egypt, and Russia.

- Identify and establish new business opportunities, distribution channels, and strategic alliances in targeted geographies.

- Conduct detailed market research to understand regional trends, competition, and customer needs.

Client Engagement & Relationship Management:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with international clients, agents, EPC contractors, and OEM partners.

- Lead technical and commercial discussions with international stakeholders.

- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and techno-commercial bids.

Sales Operations & Coordination:

- Manage end-to-end sales processes including lead generation, negotiation, order finalization, and post-sales support.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Projects, and After-Sales Service to ensure timely and quality delivery of products and services.

- Participate in international trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to enhance brand visibility.

Reporting & Compliance:

- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, reports, and market intelligence dashboards.

- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and export documentation procedures.

- Monitor receivables and support commercial teams in collections and payment follow-ups.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering from a reputed institution.

Experience:

- 12 to 20 years of relevant experience in International Sales and Business Development of process equipment for the Chemical and Pharmaceutical (API) industries.

- Bonus Advantage: Prior experience working as a Process Engineer in the chemical industry.

Preferred Skills & Attributes:

- Deep understanding of chemical & pharma process equipment such as reactors, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, filtration systems, etc.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in international sales documentation, export logistics, and contract management.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple regional responsibilities.

- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
