Position Title: Sr. Manager-Accounts

Qualification: CA

Experience: 7-15 years of experience in Steel, Mining, Cement or Power manufacturing industry.

Location: Nigeria

Job Summary:

The Sr. Manager - Accounts will be responsible for managing financial reporting, budgeting, MIS, cost analysis, and compliance for the manufacturing unit. The role involves providing financial insights to support business decisions while ensuring strong financial controls and effective coordination with the Head Office finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & MIS

- Ensure timely preparation and review of monthly management accounts and financial statements.

- Prepare MIS reports, financial analysis, and variance analysis for management review.

- Monitor financial performance and highlight key trends, risks, and opportunities.

Budgeting & Cost Control

- Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting activities for the unit.

- Conduct variance analysis between budgeted and actual performance.

- Ensure cost reconciliation and cost monitoring to improve operational efficiency.

Commercial & Business Support

- Provide financial and commercial support to the Unit CEO and HO Finance Team.

- Assist the Accounts Head in financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision-making.

- Support business teams with financial insights and cost optimization initiatives.

Credit Control & Working Capital

- Closely monitor credit control functions, receivables, and working capital management.

- Ensure effective follow-up for collections and receivable reconciliation.

Compliance & Audit

- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.

- Coordinate with internal and external auditors and ensure timely closure of audit observations.

- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation.

Systems & Process Management

- Ensure effective utilization of ERP systems (Microsoft Navision preferred) for accounting and reporting.

- Drive process improvements and automation in finance operations.

- Ensure strong internal controls and financial discipline.
