Job description of Sr. Manager Accounts & Finance CORE COMPETENCIES: - Financial & Strategic Planning. - Budgeting, MIS Reporting & Analysis. - Management and Financial accounting. - Cost Control. - Accounts Finalization/ Month end closure. - Taxation & Regulatory compliances. - Internal and External Audits. - Team Management. - Accountabilities - Handling day to day operation of finance function to ensure proper accounting and finalization of company accounts in timely manner - Manage the timely preparation and presentation of statutory books of accounts, financial statements and annual reports, ensuring conformance to regulatory accounting standards. - Develop business plans and strategies for maximizing profitability & revenue generation & realize organizational goals. - Responsible to planning,guidance, execution and management of all accounting functions/ operations such as AR/ AP/ Cost & revenue accounting, period end closure, inventory accounting etc for the company. - Assist the senior management in providing correct financial & operation information to assist them better strategic and operation future plans. - Regularly monitor and work closely with management in taking timely action to ensure that budgets and financial plans stay within approved levels - Supervise the General Ledger accounting work to ensure that all revenues and costs are correctly allocated and monitored. - Prepare and analyze MIS reports to provide feedback to the Management - Month end closing and reporting & variance analysis in accordance with business plan. - Assess and evaluate the organization's financial performance with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets, and forecasts - Conduct variance analysis to determine the difference between projected & actual results and implement corrective actions. - Presenting monthly performance reviews for each business unit, indicating key business highlights and areas for improvement to senior management. - To ensure timely closure of accounting process for reporting - Review and manage accounts payable and ensure all payments are as per process. Review and manage accounts receivable to ensure correct receivables & for better cash flow planning - Compliance with internal & statutory audits and smooth completion till its presentation; evaluate internal control systems periodically to improve upon the present controls to best practice level. - Proper control over fixed assets and maintenance of Fixed Assets Register(FAR) - Looking after Income Tax,TDS and GST compliances. - Inventory Management- physical verification, controlling, damage,adjustment & disposal. - Reviewing the Product wise gross margin on monthly basis. Reviewing Cost of Goods sold on monthly basis and identifying the variance for the same, - Coordination with the other departments in smooth operation of day to day business.
