Role: Senior Manager - Accounts & Finance

Role Summary:
The Senior Manager - Accounts & Finance will be responsible for managing the organisation's accounting and finance operations, with a key focus on overseas payments, banking, GST and statutory compliance, MIS.
The role will involve managing the Accounts & Finance team, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial transactions, coordinating with banks, auditors and consultants, and providing timely financial information and MIS to management.
The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant with 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably with exposure to international transactions and foreign currency payments.
Ideal Candidate:
A qualified Chartered Accountant with 10+ years of post-qualification experience who has strong hands-on experience in accounting and finance operations.
The candidate should have good exposure to overseas payments and remittances, GST, taxation, banking, month-end/year-end book closure and MIS. The person should also have experience managing a team and coordinating with banks, auditors, tax consultants and other external stakeholders.
Experience in an organisation with international business, exports/imports or overseas vendors would be an advantage.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Accounts & Finance:
- Manage day-to-day accounting and finance operations, including AP, AR, general ledger and banking.
- Ensure accurate and timely accounting of all financial transactions.
- Lead monthly, quarterly and annual book closure, including reconciliations, provisions and other closing activities.
- Review financial records and ensure proper accounting controls and documentation.
Overseas Payments & Banking:
- Manage overseas payments/remittances to international vendors and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate with banks for foreign currency transactions, outward remittances and related documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable FEMA, RBI, tax and banking requirements for international transactions.
- Monitor forex-related accounting and payment issues.
GST & Statutory Compliance:
- Oversee GST compliance, including returns, reconciliations and input tax credit.
- Ensure timely TDS and other statutory compliances.
- Coordinate with tax consultants and auditors on tax-related matters, assessments and notices.
- Keep track of relevant regulatory changes and ensure compliance.
MIS & Management Reporting:
- Prepare periodic MIS and financial reports for management.
- Analyse revenue, expenses, receivables, payables, cash flow and other key financial indicators.
- Highlight significant variances and provide financial insights to management.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning as required.
Team & Stakeholder Management:
- Lead, manage and mentor the Accounts & Finance team.
- Allocate responsibilities and review the team's work for accuracy and timeliness.
- Coordinate with statutory/internal auditors, banks, tax consultants and other external stakeholders.
- Improve accounting processes, controls and efficiency within the finance function.
Person Specification:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 10 years of post-qualification experience.
- Hands-on experience in overseas payments, foreign currency transactions and banking.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS and statutory compliance.
- Experience in book closure and MIS reporting.
- Prior experience managing an Accounts & Finance team.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of accounting, taxation and financial controls.
- Good understanding of FEMA/RBI requirements related to overseas remittances.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good command of MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
- High attention to detail, accuracy and compliance orientation.
