Job Title - Sr.Legal Counsel - Corporate Litigation

Primary Responsibilities :

RESPONSIBLE FOR CORPORATE LITIGATION FOR THE BANK

1. Advising and assisting the management with respect to legal implications on fine aspects of litigation issues, detailed budgeting for all legal assignments, implement processes to meet the strategic objectives for litigation and regulatory perspective

2. Advising and strategize litigations, assessing litigation risks of possible business decisions, providing preventive counseling with respect to the legal risks associated with business and regulatory practices, enforcement proceedings, developing strategy with both inside and outside counsel and teams in response to litigation, legal notices and regulatory proceedings to ensure no adverse impact on corporate image and brand value for the Company or on its directors or officers. On boarding appropriate law firms and counsels to save cost as well as to safeguard the Group's interests.

Facilitate in developing network of lawyers, enforcement agents identify and provide guidance and legal support for addressing various legal issues having recovery implications and ramifications and assisting bank in its representations before various courts, forums, authorities and providing legal opinions

Secondary Responsibilities :

1.Adhere risk management techniques and work proactively on possible legal issues, communicate and negotiate with external parties (, external law firms and counsels etc.), creating relations of trust and build in roads with external parties in a constructive manner for adoption of best practices.

2. If required in NPA cases, to assist in negotiating, drafting and implementing agreements, settlements, including strategic legal support for pre-emptive and reactive litigation for cases filed by and against banks.

3. Supervising, strengthening and defending intellectual property portfolio covering Trademarks and Copyrights as and when required
