Job Description (JD) for the role of Senior Leadership - Key Account Management - EB & Non-EB (General Insurance Only) - Broker
Reports to: Director / CEO / Head of Business
Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic professional to lead the Key Account Management function for both Employee Benefits (EB) and Non-EB segments within the General Insurance domain. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in corporate insurance broking, strategic client engagement, and business retention, while driving excellence in service delivery and long-term relationship management.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Client Engagement:
- Lead and grow relationships with key corporate clients across EB and Non-EB portfolios.
- Develop a deep understanding of client needs and industry-specific risks to offer customized insurance solutions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to C-Suite stakeholders on insurance and risk management.
Business Retention & Growth:
- Own the P&L for key accounts and ensure consistent revenue growth through renewals, upselling, and cross-selling.
- Identify new opportunities within existing accounts and expand the business footprint.
- Collaborate with the sales, underwriting, and technical teams for proposal creation and renewal strategies.
Operational Excellence:
- Ensure timely delivery of quotations, policy issuance, endorsements, and claims support.
- Monitor account performance metrics (renewal rates, client satisfaction scores, TATs, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal audit standards.
EB & Non-EB Expertise:
- Lead solutioning for group health, term life, GPA, and other employee benefit offerings.
- Oversee risk assessment and placement for fire, marine, engineering, liability, and other non-EB portfolios.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in general insurance broking, with significant exposure to both EB and Non-EB segments and leadership roles.
- Industry: Only candidates from General Insurance Broking firms will be considered.
- Education: Graduate/Postgraduate in Insurance, Business Administration, or related field. Insurance certifications (e.g., Licentiate, Associate) preferred.
