About the Firm:

Our client is a boutique investment banking firm in India, specializing in fund (debt and equity) raising, mergers & acquisitions and strategic advisory services. Key Responsibilities

1. Deal Origination and Execution:

- Lead M&A, private equity, and capital raising transactions end-to-end.

- Develop and review complex financial models, including DCF, LBO, and merger analysis.

- Drive transaction structuring, valuation, and negotiation with clients, investors, and other stakeholders.

2. Client Relationship Management:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, prospective investors, and other stakeholders.

- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing strategic advice and ensuring high-quality deliverables.

3. Industry and Market Analysis:

- Conduct deep-dive industry research to identify emerging trends and potential opportunities.

- Develop thought leadership insights and identify strategic initiatives for clients across sectors.

4. Team Leadership and Mentoring:

- Lead, mentor, and develop junior team members, including analysts and associates.

- Supervise and review the work of the team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of deliverables.

5. Compliance and Documentation:

- Oversee due diligence processes, legal documentation, and regulatory filings to ensure adherence to compliance standards.

- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to manage risks associated with transactions.

6. Firm Development:

- Contribute to the firms business development initiatives, including identifying and pitching to new clients.

- Play a key role in building the firms brand and expanding its presence in target markets.

Qualifications & Skills

- Educational Background: MBA in Finance, CA, CFA (completed or Level III preferred), or other relevant certifications.

- Experience: 7+ years of proven experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, or strategy consulting.

- Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated experience in leading deal teams and managing client relationships.

- Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Thomson Reuters).

- Strategic Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify strategic opportunities for clients.

- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to senior executives and stakeholders.

- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of SEBI, RBI, and other regulatory frameworks relevant to investment banking in India.
