Role Overview :

As a Senior Investment Banker specializing in Debt Syndication, you will be at the forefront of structuring and executing debt financing solutions for our clients. Your day-to-day will involve originating, structuring, and syndicating debt transactions across various sectors. You will collaborate closely with clients, internal teams (including credit, legal, and sales), and external stakeholders (such as banks, financial institutions, and investors). This role directly impacts our clients' ability to achieve their strategic objectives by providing them with access to capital, enabling growth, acquisitions, and refinancing opportunities.

Key Responsibilities :

- Originate debt syndication mandates by proactively identifying and pursuing opportunities to advise clients on their financing needs.

- Structure complex debt transactions, including term loans, working capital facilities, and project finance, tailored to meet the specific requirements of clients.

- Develop comprehensive financial models and perform rigorous credit analysis to assess the viability and risk profile of potential transactions.

- Prepare compelling pitch books and presentations to effectively communicate financing solutions to clients and potential investors.

- Lead the syndication process by managing relationships with banks, financial institutions, and other investors to secure commitments for debt transactions.

- Negotiate legal documentation, including term sheets, loan agreements, and security documents, to protect the interests of both clients and investors.

- Monitor market trends and regulatory developments to identify new opportunities and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

- Mentor and train junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated ability to structure and execute complex debt transactions, including a strong understanding of financial modeling, credit analysis, and legal documentation.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, investors, and internal stakeholders.

- Proven ability to originate new business opportunities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and develop creative solutions.

- A Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field from a top-tier institution.

- Adaptable to a fast-paced, on-site work environment in Mumbai, requiring strong collaboration and responsiveness.

- Possess 4-8 years of relevant experience in Investment Banking, with a focus on Debt Syndication.
