Roles & Responsibilities :
Deal Origination & Mandate Acquisition :
- Source and originate debt syndication, structured finance, refinancing, and credit mandates across corporate, startup, and mid-market clients.
- Identify opportunities across project finance, promoter funding, NCD issuances, lease rental discounting (LRD), mezzanine financing, bridge funding, structured credit, and special situation financing.
- Build and manage a strong transaction pipeline across sectors such as manufacturing, infrastructure, logistics, technology, and growth-stage businesses.
- Lead client engagement activities from mandate acquisition and financial structuring to transaction closure.
- Develop strategic relationships with promoters, CFOs, founders, and business stakeholders to generate repeat business opportunities.
Deal Structuring & Transaction Execution :- Design customized financing structures including term loans, structured NCDs, bridge finance, promoter funding, securitized debt, and hybrid capital solutions.
- Conduct detailed credit analysis, financial due diligence, feasibility assessments, ratio analysis, and cash flow modeling for debt proposals.
- Evaluate borrower profiles, assess company background, and analyze creditworthiness including unsecured and cash-flow-based lending opportunities.
- Prepare transaction documents including credit notes, investment decks, information memorandums, financial models, and lender presentations.
- Manage end-to-end transaction execution including lender discussions, onboarding, documentation, negotiations, disbursement, and financial closure.
- Lead restructuring, re-leveraging, refinancing, and stressed asset transactions where applicable.
Investor & Lender Relationship Management- Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, NBFCs, private credit funds, mutual funds, family offices, venture debt firms, and institutional lenders.
- Develop syndication and co-lending partnerships to facilitate capital participation across transactions.
- Leverage investor networks to identify and facilitate Pre-IPO, secondary, and structured investment opportunities.
- Act as a strategic advisor to clients on capital structure optimization, debt raising strategies, and financing solutions.
Market Intelligence & Strategic Initiatives- Stay updated on RBI, SEBI, and regulatory frameworks related to debt markets, credit products, and alternative investments.
- Monitor market trends, private credit opportunities, structured finance products, and - investment ecosystem developments.
- Collaborate with leadership teams to build and scale the organization's debt and structured finance practice nationally.
- Maintain detailed MIS reports, transaction trackers, lender interactions, pipeline updates, and management dashboards.
- Contribute to the development of new credit products, structured finance offerings, and alternative financing platforms.
Ideal Candidate Criteria- 4+ years of experience in Debt Syndication, Structured Finance, Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, or NBFC Lending roles.
- Strong hands-on experience originating debt mandates including term loans, NCDs, promoter funding, refinancing, bridge finance, and structured credit transactions.
- Proven expertise in evaluating and processing loans, conducting company background checks, credit assessments, and underwriting exercises.
- Experience working on startup financing, unsecured lending, and cash-flow-based lending models is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of debt products including NCDs, Commercial Papers (CPs), Lease Rental Discounting (LRD), mezzanine financing, structured credit, and hybrid capital products.
- Experience managing lender and investor relationships including banks, NBFCs, private credit funds, family offices, and institutional investors.
- Proven ability to independently manage transactions from mandate acquisition and pitching to onboarding, documentation, and financial closure.
- Exposure to restructuring, stressed asset management, refinancing, and re-leveraging transactions.
- Strong understanding of credit assessment frameworks, financial statement analysis, ratio analysis, and cash flow modeling.
- Ability to prepare detailed MIS reports, deal pipeline trackers, investment proposals, and lender/investor presentations.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling fundamentals.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Candidates must come from Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, NBFC Credit, Structured Finance, or related financial services backgrounds.
- MBA in Finance is mandatory.
- CFA, CA, or CAIA certifications will be preferred.
