Senior Investment Banker - Debt Syndication

Role Overview:

As a Senior Investment Banker specializing in Debt Syndication, you will be at the forefront of structuring and executing debt financing solutions for our clients. Your day-to-day will involve originating, structuring, and syndicating debt transactions across various sectors. You will collaborate closely with clients, internal teams (including credit, legal, and sales), and external stakeholders (such as banks, financial institutions, and investors) to deliver optimal financing outcomes. This role directly impacts our clients' ability to achieve their strategic objectives by providing access to capital, enabling growth, and optimizing their capital structure.

Key Responsibilities:

- Originate and develop debt syndication mandates by identifying client needs and presenting tailored financing solutions.

- Structure complex debt transactions, including term loans, working capital facilities, and project finance, to meet client requirements and market conditions.

- Prepare comprehensive financial models and credit analysis to support debt structuring and pricing decisions.

- Lead the syndication process, including preparing information memorandums, conducting roadshows, and managing investor relationships, to ensure successful deal closure.

- Negotiate legal documentation with clients and lenders to protect the firm's interests and ensure compliance.

- Monitor market trends and regulatory changes to identify new opportunities and mitigate risks in debt syndication activities.

- Mentor and train junior team members to develop their skills and expertise in debt syndication.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to structure and execute debt syndication transactions, including a deep understanding of debt markets, credit analysis, and financial modeling.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, lenders, and internal stakeholders.

- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills to navigate complex deal structures and resolve issues effectively.

- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.

- Ability to thrive in an on-site work environment in Mumbai, requiring strong collaboration and presence.
