Leading Wealth Mgt and financial advisory firm requires Sr Investment Analyst (CFA) - Mumbai (BKC)

One of our clients, a Multi-Family Office and Advisory firm, is a subsidiary of a leading financial services and Wealth mgt firm, a leading player in FX and Treasury management for over 20 years. We provide tailored investment solutions to High-net-worth individuals (HNIs), family offices, single-family businesses, and trusts. Our bespoke investment advisory services are crafted to meet the unique objectives of each client, offering a "state-of-the-art" approach. Our extensive industry network, collaborations, and credibility are the cornerstone of our success. It is a one stop Treasury and FX Solutions firm that has been successfully established for more than 20 years. We engage with Indian and global clients ranging from Rs. 200 crs to Rs. 10000 crs topline in various industries. Its wealth Management arm is a multifamily office and helps multiple family offices and HNIs. Under the leadership of its CEO, its team has catered to over 950 clients and has managed a cumulative client exposure of over 20 billion USD across various industries.

We are looking out for an Investment and Financial analyst for our client office at BKC in Mumbai.

Role Description:

1. Objectives of this role:

- Conducting in-depth research and financial analysis of markets, securities, industries, economies, and companies to identify investment opportunities.

- Providing detailed financial models and valuation reports on stocks, bonds, and other investment assets.

- Monitoring market trends, economic indicators, and relevant news that affect the investment landscape.

- Preparing and presenting investment recommendations to portfolio managers, clients, or senior management.

- Evaluating the financial health and growth potential of companies through balance sheets, income statements, and other financial documents.

- Assisting in the construction and rebalancing of investment portfolios based on client needs and market conditions.

- Collaborating with other investment professionals, including portfolio managers and analysts, to discuss strategies and market insights and align recommendations.

- Developing performance reports and presenting findings on various investments, sectors, and markets.

- Maintaining strong relationships with industry professionals, including brokers, analysts, and economists.

2. Your tasks:

- Build and maintain financial models to assess the valuation of stocks, bonds, and other assets.

- Identify investment opportunities based on both qualitative and quantitative analysis.

- Analyse financial statements, key performance indicators (KPIs), and industry benchmarks.

- Perform valuation analyses using methods like discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis (CCA), and precedent transactions.

- Gather and interpret macroeconomic data to inform investment strategies.

- Support due diligence processes for potential acquisitions or investment opportunities.

- Maintain and enhance databases of financial, market, and industry information.

- Prepare investment reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management and clients.

- Evaluate the risk and potential return of various investment assets or portfolios.

- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies regarding investments and trading practices.

- Stay updated on economic trends, market news, and regulatory developments to anticipate investment risks and opportunities.

Required skills and qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Over 3 years of demonstrable experience in investment analysis, financial modelling, financial analysis, portfolio management, or related roles.

- Strong understanding of financial markets, investment products, and economic principles in India and globally.

- Proficiency in financial software, databases, and tools such as Bloomberg, Excel, and Power BI.

- Solid understanding of risk management principles and portfolio construction.

- Ability to analyse financial statements and develop valuation models for different asset classes.

- Strong research, analytical, and quantitative analysis skills with attention to detail.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly present investment research and financial insights to stakeholders.

- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.

- A proactive approach to learning and adapting to market changes.

Preferred skills and qualifications:

- Advanced degrees or certifications such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst).

- Experience with advanced financial modelling and data analysis tools (Python, SQL).

- Knowledge of equity, fixed-income, and alternative investment products.

- Experience with portfolio management systems and investment platforms.

- Knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and their impact on investment strategies.

- Familiarity with global markets and macroeconomic indicators.
