Senior Investment Analyst - Venture / Startup Investing

About the Role:

We are looking to hire a Senior Investment Analyst to support venture and growth-stage investments across high-potential startups in India. The role involves end-to-end ownership of deal sourcing, evaluation, due diligence, and execution, along with ongoing portfolio monitoring and strategic research.

This position offers direct exposure to senior leadership and the Investment Committee, with significant responsibility across transaction execution and value creation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Deal Origination & Sourcing :

- Source and evaluate startup and growth-stage investment opportunities across technology-led sectors

- Build relationships with founders, accelerators, VC funds, incubators, and ecosystem partners

- Conduct initial screening on business models, market size, scalability, and capital efficiency

- Maintain and track an active deal pipeline

Investment Evaluation & Financial Analysis:

- Build detailed financial models incorporating growth projections, unit economics, and cash flow analysis

- Conduct valuations using DCF, trading comparables, and precedent transactions

- Evaluate founder capability, competitive positioning, and scalability

- Assess exit scenarios including follow-on rounds, secondary exits, and strategic acquisitions

Due Diligence & Deal Execution :

- Lead financial, commercial, and legal due diligence processes

- Coordinate with external advisors, consultants, and legal teams

- Prepare investment committee notes, transaction memos, and valuation summaries

- Support term sheet negotiations and deal closure activities

Portfolio Monitoring & Research:

- Monitor portfolio company performance and key operating metrics

- Support founders on governance, fundraising, and growth initiatives

- Prepare periodic internal and investor performance reports

- Conduct sector and thematic research on emerging investment trends

Mandatory Requirements:

- 5+ years of experience in Venture Capital, Growth Equity, Family Office investing, Investment Banking, or similar transaction-focused roles

- Hands-on experience across startup investment sourcing, evaluation, due diligence, and execution

- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills (DCF, comparable analysis, precedent transactions)

- Ability to analyze startup cap tables, funding structures, and unit economics

- Experience using PitchBook, Tracxn, Venture Intelligence, Capital IQ, or equivalent databases

- MBA in Finance / Strategy from a Tier-1 B-school or equivalent

- Minimum 2 years of tenure in each previous organization (or clear justification)

Preferred Qualifications:

- Exposure to B2B technology, SaaS, fintech, or digital infrastructure sectors

- CFA, CA, or CAIA certification
