Role Overview:

As a Senior Investment Analyst, you will play a critical role in evaluating investment opportunities in pre-IPO and SME companies. You will be responsible for conducting in-depth financial analysis, building sophisticated financial models, and performing valuations to support investment recommendations. You will work closely with senior members of the investment team, engaging with company management, and contributing to the due diligence process. Your insights will directly influence investment decisions and contribute to the firm's success in identifying and capitalizing on high-potential opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of target companies, including historical performance, industry trends, and competitive landscape, to identify key investment drivers.

- Develop detailed financial models, including forecasting revenue, expenses, and cash flows, to assess the financial viability of investment opportunities.

- Perform valuation analysis using various methodologies, such as discounted cash flow, precedent transactions, and comparable company analysis, to determine fair value.

- Prepare investment memos and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations for the investment committee, ensuring clear and concise communication of key insights.

- Participate in due diligence processes, including reviewing legal documents, interviewing management teams, and analyzing market data, to validate investment assumptions.

- Monitor portfolio company performance and provide ongoing analysis to identify potential risks and opportunities, supporting informed decision-making.

- Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments to identify emerging investment opportunities and inform investment strategies.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to perform rigorous financial analysis and interpret complex financial statements.

- Proven expertise in building and maintaining sophisticated financial models using Excel.

- Strong understanding of valuation methodologies and their application in investment decision-making.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

- Experience in investment banking, private equity, or venture capital, with a focus on pre-IPO and SME investments.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

- Ability to thrive in an on-site work environment in Mumbai.

- 5-10 years of relevant experience.
