Role Overview:

As a Senior Investment Analyst specializing in Pre-IPO and SME investments, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities within the dynamic Indian market. Your day-to-day will involve in-depth financial analysis, rigorous valuation exercises, and the creation of sophisticated financial models.

You will collaborate closely with the investment team, senior management, and external advisors, contributing directly to the firm's investment strategy and portfolio growth. Your insights and recommendations will directly influence investment decisions, driving value creation and delivering superior returns for our investors.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of potential pre-IPO and SME investment targets, providing critical insights into their financial health, growth prospects, and competitive positioning.

- Develop and maintain complex financial models to forecast future performance, assess investment risks, and determine fair valuations for target companies, ensuring data-driven investment decisions.

- Perform thorough due diligence on potential investments, collaborating with legal, accounting, and industry experts to identify and mitigate potential risks.

- Prepare detailed investment memos and presentations for the investment committee, clearly articulating investment rationale, potential returns, and key risks.

- Monitor the performance of existing portfolio companies, providing ongoing analysis and recommendations to optimize investment returns and manage risk.

- Support the execution of M&A transactions, including deal structuring, negotiation, and closing, contributing to the successful completion of investment deals.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to perform in-depth financial analysis, including ratio analysis, trend analysis, and cash flow forecasting.

- Proven expertise in valuation techniques, including discounted cash flow analysis, precedent transactions, and comparable company analysis.

- Strong financial modeling skills, with the ability to build and maintain complex financial models using Excel.

- Solid understanding of private equity investment principles and practices, including deal structuring, due diligence, and portfolio management.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate complex financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.

- Adaptable to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment in Mumbai.
