Role Overview :
As a Senior Investment Analyst specializing in Pre-IPO and SME investments, you will be at the forefront of identifying and evaluating high-growth potential companies. Your day-to-day will involve in-depth financial analysis, valuation modeling, and due diligence to support investment decisions. You will collaborate closely with the investment team, senior management, and external advisors, playing a crucial role in sourcing, analyzing, and executing investment opportunities. Your insights and recommendations will directly impact the firm's investment strategy and portfolio performance, driving value creation for our investors and contributing to the growth of promising businesses.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and due diligence on potential Pre-IPO and SME investment targets to assess their financial health, market position, and growth prospects.
- Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to project future performance, evaluate investment scenarios, and determine fair valuations for potential investments.
- Prepare detailed investment memos and presentations for the investment committee, clearly articulating investment rationale, risks, and potential returns to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Monitor portfolio company performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular updates to the investment team to ensure proactive management and identify potential issues.
- Support the deal execution process, including coordinating with legal, accounting, and other advisors to ensure smooth and efficient transaction closings.
- Identify and evaluate new investment opportunities through market research, industry analysis, and networking to maintain a robust pipeline of potential deals.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated ability to perform rigorous financial analysis, including ratio analysis, cash flow forecasting, and sensitivity analysis.
- Proven expertise in valuation techniques, including discounted cash flow (DCF), precedent transactions, and comparable company analysis.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling using Excel, with the ability to build complex models from scratch and interpret results effectively.
- Excellent understanding of investment banking principles, M&A processes, and capital markets.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely convey complex financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, investment banking, private equity, or M&A.
- Adaptable to on-site work setup in Mumbai.
