Hiring for Senior Investment Analyst

Experience: 5 Years - 10 Years

Location: Mumbai

Mode: Work from office (6 Days/Week)

Notice Period: Immediate Joiner or Notice period maximum upto 30 Days

Mandatory Requirements:

- Strong startup analysis skills

- Must have 5+ years of experience in Venture Capital, Growth Equity or Family Office investing or Investment banking

- Must have direct experience in market research, sourcing, investment evaluation, due diligence, and deal execution across startups or growth stage companies

- Must be proficient in advanced Excel financial modeling

- Must have hands-on experience with valuation techniques (DCF, trading comps, precedent transactions)

- Must be able to analyze startup cap tables, unit economics, and funding structures

- Must have experience using any of PitchBook/Tracxn/Venture Intelligence/Capital IQ

- Mandatory Company Experience - Must come from VC funds, Growth Equity firms, Family Offices, Investment Banking, AIFs or similar companies

- Mandatory Education - Must have an MBA (Finance/Strategy) from a Tier-1 B-school or equivalent

- Mandatory Stability -Must have atleast 2+ years of experience in each of the previous companies (if less exp, then proper reason)

Role & Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Senior Investment Analyst with strong experience in Venture Capital, Growth Equity, or Family Office investing into Startup. The candidate will play a critical role in sourcing, evaluating, and managing investments across startups and growth-stage companies (50% allocation) while contributing to the fund's broader cross-asset investment strategy.

This role provides a unique opportunity to work closely with the Managing Partners and the Investment Committee, taking ownership of deal execution, due diligence, and value creation for India's next generation of scalable businesses. Key Responsibilities

Deal Origination & Sourcing:

- Identify and evaluate startup and growth-stage investment opportunities across technology, SaaS, fintech, clean energy, and advanced manufacturing sectors.

- Build and leverage strong networks across founders, accelerators, VC funds, incubators, and advisory firms.

- Conduct preliminary screenings based on business model, market size, scalability, and capital efficiency.

- Maintain a live deal pipeline dashboard with summaries, funding stages, and valuation insights.

Investment Evaluation & Financial Analysis:

- Build comprehensive financial and operating models integrating growth forecasts, unit economics, and cash burn analysis.

- Conduct valuation and benchmarking using DCF, comparable, and cohort-based analyses.

- Assess founder pedigree, product differentiation, and market defensibility.

- Evaluate exit strategies, including follow-on rounds, secondary exits, and strategic buyouts.

Due Diligence & Deal Execution:

- Lead end-to-end due diligence (financial, commercial, and legal) for new investments.

- Coordinate with external advisors, consultants, auditors, and legal teams for smooth transaction execution.

- Prepare Investment Committee notes, valuation models, and transaction memos.

- Support term sheet negotiations and deal closures in alignment with internal legal and compliance standards.

Portfolio Monitoring & Value Creation:

- Track performance metrics, financial results, and key milestones for portfolio companies.

- Collaborate with founders on fundraising strategy, governance, and business expansion initiatives.

- Identify cross-portfolio synergies and potential for follow-on investments.

- Prepare periodic reports and performance updates for internal and LP reviews.

Research, Strategy & Market Intelligence:

- Develop sectoral and thematic research papers on emerging venture trends (AI, fintech, manufacturing innovation, clean-tech, sustainability).

- Monitor macroeconomic trends, policy changes, and venture funding flows.

- Contribute to fund thesis refinement, market mapping, and benchmarking frameworks.

- Represent the Fund at investor forums, startup conferences, and ecosystem events.

Ideal Candidate:

Education:

- MBA (Finance / Strategy / Entrepreneurship) from a Tier-1 B-School or equivalent.

- CFA / CA / CAIA certification preferred.

Experience:

- 5-10 years of experience in Venture Capital, Growth Equity, Family Office, or Investment Banking.

- Proven track record in startup sourcing, investment execution, and portfolio management.

- Exposure to B2B tech, fintech, SaaS, and digital infrastructure sectors preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

- Exceptional analytical, valuation, and financial modeling skills (DCF, transaction comps, cohort analysis).

- Strong understanding of startup funding structures, cap tables, and convertible instruments.

- Ability to evaluate early-stage scalability and product-market fit.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

-Proficient in PitchBook, Tracxn, Venture Intelligence, Capital IQ, and Excel.
