About the Role:
We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Inventory Specialist / Inventory Optimisation Lead to join our Inventory & Supply Chain team. This role focuses on improving inventory performance, optimizing replenishment strategies, and driving supply chain efficiency through data-driven insights.
The ideal candidate will have experience in inventory planning, retail supply chain operations, analytics, and stakeholder management, with the ability to solve complex business problems using data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze inventory performance and identify opportunities to optimize stock availability while minimizing excess inventory.
- Perform root cause analysis for stock-outs, overstock situations, and replenishment issues, and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop inventory optimization models and support continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain operations.
- Monitor and analyze key inventory and supply chain KPIs to improve operational performance.
- Extract, analyze, and interpret large datasets using SQL, Excel, and reporting tools.
- Build dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar visualization tools to support business decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Inventory Planning, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Operations, and Technology.
- Translate business requirements into analytical solutions and provide actionable recommendations.
- Support logistics and replenishment optimization projects to improve service levels and operational efficiency.
- Present findings and recommendations to business stakeholders in a clear and structured manner.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and help establish best practices across inventory and supply chain functions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Analytics, or a related discipline.
- Master's degree in Operations Management or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
- 4+ years of experience in inventory planning, inventory optimization, or supply chain analytics within a retail or consumer-focused environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles, replenishment processes, and logistics operations.
- Experience working with inventory and supply chain KPIs.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel.
- SQL for data extraction and analysis.
- Power BI or other dashboarding/visualization tools.
- Strong analytical and statistical problem-solving skills.
- Experience in data mining and reporting.
