
Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Senior HR Manager to lead Human Resources operations, organizational effectiveness, compliance, payroll governance, and strategic HR initiatives across corporate and plant locations. This role requires a hands-on HR leader who can balance strategic thinking with operational execution while partnering closely with business leaders to build a high-performing, compliant, and employee-centric organization.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Business Partnering & Operations:
- Partner with business leadership as a strategic HR advisor, aligning HR initiatives with organizational objectives.
- Drive operational excellence across the entire employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, career development, and exit management.
- Foster a culture of openness, collaboration, diversity, inclusion, and accountability.
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution while ensuring fair and consistent practices.
- Execute end-to-end Performance Management System (PMS) cycles in collaboration with business leaders and Compensation & Benefits teams.
- Manage stakeholder relationships through regular business reviews and HR discussions.
- Drive career development initiatives, including goal setting, internal job rotations, succession planning, and performance improvement programs.
- Prepare and present HR dashboards, workforce analytics, and business reports to leadership.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives and ensure action plans are effectively implemented.
HR Centre of Excellence (CoE):
- Design and implement HR programs aligned with business priorities and organizational objectives.
- Develop talent engagement, retention, leadership development, and capability-building initiatives.
- Provide guidance to managers on employee relations, compliance, performance management, and workplace behavior.
- Lead Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) initiatives across the organization.
- Support organizational restructuring and HR transformation initiatives.
Employee Engagement & Organizational Initiatives:
- Lead employer branding, employee rewards & recognition, wellness programs, and engagement initiatives.
- Support HR leadership in strategic planning, departmental reviews, and organizational projects.
- Manage budgets related to employee engagement, recognition, and HR initiatives.
- Drive HR automation and AI-enabled process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Compliance & Governance:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and statutory regulations.
- Oversee compliance related to PF, ESI, Gratuity, Payroll, Shops & Establishment, and other statutory obligations across corporate and plant operations.
- Conduct compliance audits and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
- Develop, review, and update HR policies and standard operating procedures in line with legal requirements and industry best practices.
- Partner with plant HR teams to ensure consistent compliance across locations.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 12+ years of progressive HR experience with significant exposure to HR Operations, HR Business Partnering, Compliance, Payroll, and Employee Relations.
- Strong experience managing end-to-end HR operations in a fast-paced organization.
- Proven experience leading HR initiatives at a senior level and managing cross-functional stakeholders.
- Mandatory experience managing and developing teams of at least two direct reports.
- Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws, statutory compliance, payroll governance, and HR best practices.
- Experience implementing HR automation, AI-enabled HR tools, and HRMS platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-growth, execution-focused environment with evolving business priorities.
Qualifications:
- MBA or Executive MBA in Human Resources from a reputed university.
- Strong academic background with progressive HR leadership experience.
- Experience working in manufacturing, industrial, technology, or other high-growth organizations will be an advantage.
