Reporting To: Head Retail / CEO / Director Leasing

Role Purpose:

The Senior General Manager Retail Leasing will lead the end-to-end leasing strategy for shopping malls, mixed-use developments, and high-street retail assets. The role owns anchor and inline leasing, tenant mix strategy, revenue maximization, and team leadership, while partnering closely with development, marketing, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own leasing strategy and revenue targets for assigned retail assets

- Lead anchor, mini-anchor, and inline leasing across malls and high-street developments

- Design and execute tenant mix and brand mix strategy aligned with positioning and footfall goals

- Negotiate commercial terms including rent, revenue share, CAM, fit-out periods, and lock-ins

- Drive pre-leasing and launch leasing for new developments and expansions

- Build and manage relationships with national & international brands, F&B operators, and entertainment anchors

- Work closely with mall operations, marketing, and design teams to ensure seamless store handovers and openings

- Track market trends, competitor benchmarks, rentals, and absorption to optimize pricing

- Lead, mentor, and scale leasing teams; set KPIs and ensure governance on approvals and documentation

- Coordinate LOIs, MOUs, lease deeds, and closure documentation in line with legal and compliance norms

Candidate Profile:

- 15 - 22+ years of experience in retail leasing with mall owners, developers, or REITs

- Strong exposure to anchor and inline leasing for shopping malls / mixed-use assets

- Proven track record of leasing large-format retail assets (1 mn+ sq. ft.)

- Deep relationships with fashion, F&B, entertainment, and lifestyle brands

- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and stakeholder management

- Experience managing large leasing teams and multiple assets

- Occupancy levels & leasing velocity

- Rental and revenue-share yield

- Quality of tenant mix and brand positioning
