Role Overview:

As the Sr. GM Sales (Milk Ambient), you will spearhead the national sales strategy and execution for our portfolio of milk powders (SMP, WMP, and dairy whitener). This pivotal role involves leading a large sales team, managing key accounts across India, and driving revenue growth in the ambient milk category. You will collaborate closely with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure alignment and optimal performance. Your efforts will directly impact the company's market share, profitability, and brand presence across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive national sales strategy to achieve ambitious revenue targets for SMP, WMP, and dairy whitener, focusing on market penetration and volume growth.

- Lead, mentor, and motivate a large PAN India sales team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on exceeding sales goals and developing future leaders.

- Manage and nurture relationships with key accounts, including distributors, retailers, and institutional clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.

- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and adapt sales strategies accordingly.

- Oversee the sales budget and ensure efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI and achieve profitability targets.

- Collaborate with marketing to develop and execute effective promotional campaigns and product launches to drive sales and brand awareness.

- Work closely with supply chain to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products to meet customer demand and minimize stockouts.

- Monitor sales performance, analyze key metrics, and provide regular reports to senior management, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful national sales strategies in the FMCG sector, specifically within the dairy or food industry.

- Proven leadership skills with the capacity to manage, motivate, and develop a large sales team across diverse geographies.

- Exceptional relationship management skills with the ability to build and maintain strong partnerships with key accounts and stakeholders.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret market data and identify actionable insights.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to effectively influence and persuade at all levels.

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.

- Adaptability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a strong focus on achieving results.
