Senior Fund Accountant/Assistant Manager - Private Equity - CA

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Fund Accountant / Assistant Manager to join our client's Private Equity Fund Accounting team. The role involves end-to-end management of fund accounting operations, investor reporting, NAV calculations, carried interest computations, and financial statement preparation for private equity clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the full lifecycle of fund accounting including monthly NAV calculation, P&L reporting, and fund reconciliation.

- Prepare investor capital account statements (ICAS), LP notices, and management fee / incentive fee allocations in line with fund agreements.

- Handle investment and divestment accounting, portfolio income tracking, and valuation processes using eFront and other fund management tools.

- Oversee carried interest calculations (European waterfall method) and manage payable/receivable schedules.

- Coordinate with stakeholders for month-end close, financial reporting, VAT information, and tax statement preparation.

- Review and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround time.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and fund agreements while maintaining strong internal controls.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) / CPA / CMA (or equivalent).

- 1-8 years of experience in fund accounting, private equity, or asset management.

- Strong knowledge of NAV calculations, fund structures, carried interest, and private equity accounting.

- Proficiency in eFront, Agresso, FIS, Workiva, Excel, Power BI or similar financial reporting tools.

- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to manage multiple funds, deadlines, and investor queries with accuracy.
