Senior Functional Consultant - Payments

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Payments Functional Consultant with strong expertise in OPF, ARIC, and SEPA payment flows.

The role involves functional analysis, requirements gathering, payment-process configuration, testing, and coordination with business and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead functional analysis and delivery for OPF, ARIC, and SEPA payment platforms.

- Gather and analyse business requirements and translate them into functional solutions.

- Prepare functional specifications, process flows, and business requirements documentation.

- Configure and validate payment processes and business rules.

- Support SIT and UAT activities, including test scenario validation and defect resolution.

- Analyse end-to-end payment lifecycle and transaction flows.

- Handle payment exceptions, investigations, and reconciliation processes.

- Work closely with business, operations, technology, and external stakeholders.

- Support implementation, enhancements, and production-related functional issues.

- Ensure payment processes align with applicable compliance and control requirements.

Mandatory Skills:

- 10+ years of relevant experience in payments functional analysis/consulting.

- Strong hands-on knowledge of OPF, ARIC, and SEPA payment flows.

- Strong understanding of the end-to-end payment lifecycle.

- Experience with payment exception handling and reconciliation.

- Good knowledge of ISO 20022 messaging standards.

- Strong understanding of SEPA schemes and payment processing.

- Experience in requirements gathering, functional specifications, and process validation.

- Experience supporting SIT/UAT and coordinating with business and technical teams.

- Strong banking/payments domain knowledge and stakeholder-management skills.
