Job Title: Senior Finance Controller - Accounts & Finance (Manufacturing)
Role Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Finance Controller to lead end-to-end financial management, statutory compliance, plant finance operations, and internal controls across the organization and its group companies.
This is a critical leadership role in a manufacturing setup, responsible for ensuring strong financial governance, accurate reporting, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is a CA with deep exposure to plant finance, costing, audits, ERP systems, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1- Financial Control & Reporting
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing, reporting, and disclosures
- Review and analyze financial statements, audit schedules, and variance reports
- Prepare and publish accurate financial statements in a timely manner
- Develop MIS, dashboards, and financial insights for management decision-making
- Monitor budgets, analyze trends, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of books of accounts (assets, liabilities, revenues, expenses, capital & reserves)
2- Plant Finance & Costing
Lead plant finance operations including:
- Cost control & analysis
- Inventory valuation & ageing
- Production accounting
- Scrap and wastage analysis
- Ensure robust stock management and physical verification processes
- Partner with plant and operations teams for cost optimization and efficiency improvement initiatives
3- Statutory Compliance & Audit Management
Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements:
- GST, Income Tax, TDS
- PF/ESI (where applicable)
- Manage statutory, internal, tax audits, and government assessments
- Represent the organization during GST audits, IT assessments, and departmental inquiries
- Handle audit observations, notices, and litigation matters effectively
- Act as the single point of contact for external and internal auditors
4- Treasury, Cash Flow & Banking
- Oversee daily fund flow, cash management, and working capital
- Monitor vendor payments, receivables, and payables
Coordinate with banks for:
- Credit facilities
- Stock & book-debt statements
- Other banking and compliance requirements
5- Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and mentor finance & accounts teams across plant and HO locations
- Act as the escalation point for all finance-related issues
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Procurement, Sales, HR, and senior leadership
6- Process Improvement & ERP Systems
- Drive process improvements to strengthen internal controls and reporting accuracy
- Support ERP implementation or enhancement of existing modules
- Design efficient workflows aligned with best practices in manufacturing finance
7- Strategic Financial Initiatives
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
- Conduct financial evaluations for new projects, expansions, or acquisitions
- Ensure confidentiality and integrity of sensitive financial information
Candidate Profile:
Qualification: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) - Mandatory
Experience:
- 8-10+ years of relevant experience in Accounts & Finance within manufacturing
- Mandatory exposure to plant finance and manufacturing accounting
- Experience handling end-to-end finance function independently
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems and financial automation tools preferred
