Job Summary:

We are seeking Chartered Accountants to join our Statutory Audit team.

The role is open to CA Freshers as well as CA professionals with 1+ year of post-qualification experience.

The candidate will be responsible for planning and executing statutory audits in accordance with applicable laws, accounting standards, and auditing standards.

This role provides strong exposure to Indian statutory audits, financial reporting, compliance, and interaction with clients across industries.

Key Responsibilities:

Statutory Audit Execution

- Assist in planning and execution of statutory audits for companies across various sectors.

- Perform audit procedures in line with Standards on Auditing (SAs) issued by ICAI.

- Verify financial statements, books of accounts, and supporting documents.

- Evaluate internal controls and identify control gaps and audit risks.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with Companies Act, 2013, applicable rules, and regulatory requirements.

- Review compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) / Accounting Standards (AS).

- Support preparation and review of audit reports, CARO reports, and management letters.

- Assist in finalization of financial statements and disclosures.

Client Interaction & Coordination

- Coordinate with clients to obtain audit evidence, explanations, and confirmations.

- Communicate audit observations and follow up on pending items.

- Work closely with seniors/managers to resolve audit issues and close engagements on time.

Documentation & Quality

- Prepare and maintain proper audit documentation and working papers.

- Ensure adherence to firm audit methodologies, documentation standards, and timelines.

- Support internal quality reviews and peer reviews, if required.

Role-Specific Expectations:

For CA Freshers

- Strong conceptual understanding of Auditing, Accounting, and Taxation.

- Willingness to learn audit methodologies, tools, and client handling.

- Assist seniors in audit fieldwork, vouching, verification, and reporting.

For CA Qualified (1+ Year Experience)

- Independently handle sections of statutory audits.

- Identify audit risks and perform analytical procedures.

- Review work performed by juniors/article assistants.

- Support seniors in planning audits and finalizing reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Mandatory

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).

- Knowledge of Statutory Audit, Companies Act, and ICAI Standards on Auditing.

- Understanding of Ind AS / AS and financial reporting frameworks.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic accounting software.

Preferred / Nice to Have

- Prior articleship or post-qualification experience in statutory audits.

- Exposure to audits of manufacturing, service, or listed entities.

- Familiarity with CARO, internal controls, and risk-based audits.

- Experience with audit tools or ERP systems (Tally, SAP, Oracle basic exposure)
