Job Overview:

Looking for a highly experienced and result-oriented Senior Equity Research Manager to lead and strengthen our equity research and advisory function. The role requires deep expertise in the Indian equity markets, strong research capabilities, and leadership skills to manage a team of analysts while delivering high-quality stock research and actionable investment recommendations and monitoring content writing assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Equity Research & Stock Analysis:

- Conduct in-depth fundamental analysis of listed Indian companies across sectors, including financial modeling, valuation, and earnings analysis.

- Perform detailed financial analysis, valuation analysis and scenario analysis.

- Interpret financial statements, earnings reports, management commentary, corporate actions, industry developments and regulatory developments.

- Prepare comprehensive equity research reports, investment notes, and stock recommendations.

- Monitor portfolio stocks and update views based on market developments.

- Co-ordinating and monitoring content writing assignments such as daily market commentary, analysing stock market trends, key indices, and economic events, breaking news and updates in the financial markets.

- Create in-depth articles that simplify complex financial concepts, educational content for the readers.

2. Advisory & Investment Strategy:

- Generate actionable investment ideas aligned with DSIJs advisory philosophy.

- Develop medium- to long-term investment strategies based on macroeconomic and sector trends.

- Support portfolio construction and performance review activities.

- Develop and implement investment themes and strategies based on macroeconomic, sector-specific, or market-driven insights.

3. Market & Sector Coverage:

- Track market trends, indices, and sector developments.

- Publish market outlooks, sector reports, and thematic investment ideas.

4. Team Leadership & Mentoring:

- Lead and mentor a team of equity research analysts.

- Review research outputs for accuracy, quality, and compliance,

- Conduct training and knowledge-sharing sessions.

- Ensure the team delivers high-quality, accurate, and timely research reports.

- Foster a collaborative environment within the team, encouraging knowledge sharing and professional growth.

- Provide constructive feedback and support to analysts to enhance their research skills and output.

5. Compliance & Process Adherence:

- Ensure compliance with SEBI regulations and internal guidelines.

- Coordinate with compliance teams for disclosures and audits.

Skills & Qualifications:

- MBA (Finance), CA, CFA, or equivalent.

- 7 to 10 years of experience in equity research or investment advisory.

- Strong expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and Indian equity markets.

- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
