What you'll own
As an Equity Research Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis of investment opportunities within the equity markets. Your insights and recommendations will play a crucial role in shaping investment strategies and portfolio decisions.
The role will need you to:Do the research - Conduct comprehensive fundamental analysis of companies and industries, including financial statement analysis, valuation modelling, and industry trend assessment
Have a point of sound view - Generate and communicate actionable investment recommendations based on thorough research and analysis
Build the numbers - Build and maintain detailed financial models to forecast company performance, valuation, and investment returns
Write with precision - Prepare clear, concise, and insightful research reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and clients
Stay ahead - Monitor financial markets, industry developments, and macroeconomic trends to identify emerging investment opportunities and risks
Collaborate meaningfully - Work closely with portfolio managers and other analysts to provide research support and contribute to investment strategy discussions
Client Interaction - Engage with clients and stakeholders to discuss research findings, investment strategies, and market outlooks
Own the process - Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal compliance policies in all research activities and recommendations

Expertise and qualification: A CA or CFA with at least +5 years of experience in equity research with a genuine obsession for understanding businesses and a track record of rigorous, independent analysis
Strong analytical mindset: You know how to get and analyse data, financials, and reports the way most people don't looking past the headline numbers to the quality of information underneath, without cutting corners on rigour.
Agility & Attention to detail: You enjoy working efficiently under tight timelines. You have a keen eye for data, building models with precision, build guardrails to avoid preventable risks and getting this done right the first time. You use technology to amplify your agility in intuitive ways - to identify anomalies, uncover patterns and get to core insights from data.
Solid communication skills and market savviness: You are passionate about markets and can hold an intelligent conversation about equities, macro, and portfolio construction and translate that into a clear, well-reasoned investment view
