Role Summary:
A key aspect of the client's business involves generating analytical insights and cross-border intelligence spanning 132 countries. This enables their clients to gain a comprehensive 360- view of global risk, informed by unique analysis at the intersection of economic, political, and commercial factors.
Responsibilities include monitoring global and regional trends, as well as key developments that impact clients' cross-border exposure. This insight is communicated through detailed reports, helping both the client and the company stay ahead of emerging risks.
Develop risk scores for various sectors across countries, and author thematic whitepapers leveraging proprietary data. Provide mentorship and guidance to a team of freelancers supporting the business.
Collaborate with sales teams, client representatives, and clients across multiple markets to identify and execute bespoke analytical opportunities. Capture and maintain critical data elements to support the business team's strategic initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out most state-of-the-art research across India. Write and edit country reports (India Economy) with primary focus on credit performance of company in the country. Focus must be on analytical content
- Front end with sales team for client discussion and bespoke opportunities. Work on custom consulting projects and provide support by creating content for company presentations, media interviews, and other thought leadership pieces
- Proactively monitor changes in situation for assigned countries and regions to downgrade/upgrade
- Provide ad hoc real-time analysis (rapid response reports) in response to data releases, and/or press requests
- Collaborate across department/function, client and sales team to come up with Product / solution cater to the need of customers
- Collaborate and work with colleagues within Analytics to produce unique solutions that leverage proprietary client data. Work with analytics team and develop score for sectoral analysis across countries
- Write analytical whitepaper/short report leveraging proprietary data on ongoing subject with reference to the clients product
- Write sectoral analysis country wise
Education & Key skills required
- Masters in Quantitative Economics
- Around 5-8 years of experience in analyzing country risk within a business setting
- Econometric modeling and forecasting skills geared towards Country Risk research is required
- Prior experience R or Python will be added advantage
- Efficiency and speed in completing multiple assignments simultaneously
- Good communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to represent the team at company meetings and events, including customer facing ones
