The Opportunity : Sr. Director - Audit & Assurance

A well-established US-based Listed organisation with a strong presence across financial services, advisory, tax, and assurance operations is expanding its India Global Delivery Centre in Hyderabad, HQ Hyderabad. This listed entity supports large scale US business operations through its offshore capability centers and is known for building high performing teams across audit, compliance, risk, and assurance functions.

As part of its continued growth, the organisation is looking for a Sr. Director to lead its Audit & Assurance operations in India. This leadership role will be responsible for scaling teams, driving operational excellence, strengthening stakeholder engagement with US leadership, and ensuring seamless delivery across audit and assurance engagements.

Role Snapshot :

What You Will Do :

- Lead the India Audit & Assurance team as the primary operational head of the GDC function.

- Serve as the key bridge between the India team and US-based partners and practice leadership.

- Drive team performance, utilization, quality standards, and engagement delivery across all workstreams.

- Own talent development, mentoring, and succession planning for the India team including the Manager group.

- Partner with local management on recruitment, organizational growth, and workforce planning.

- Champion process improvement and innovation to enhance efficiency and delivery quality.

- Ensure compliance with US GAAP, PCAOB, and AICPA standards across all engagements.

Reporting to : Global Assurance Lead | Local Managing Director

Qualification : CPA (US) / CA / ACCA / CIA

Experience : 18+ years in US External Audit & Assurance

Team Size : Large cross-functional India GDC team

What We Are Looking For :

- 18+ years of deep experience in US External Audit & Assurance.

- CPA (US), Chartered Accountant, ACCA, or CIA mandatory.

- Proven leadership of large teams in a GDC, offshore delivery, or large practice environment.

- Strong track record of partnering with US stakeholders at the partner and senior manager level.

- Exceptional communication skills and a passion for developing and enabling teams.

- Experience in a Big 4 or top-tier US accounting firm is strongly preferred.

- Only candidates with US External Audit & Assurance experience and CPA / CA / ACCA / CIA/EA qualification will be considered.
